Using technology in the classroom is taking off! Ways to connect with students, parents and other teachers is a concern with the growing amount of social network sites out there. What are the safe ones to use? What sites should be strictly used for friend and family networking verse professional use? Maybe an answer has been found. Ning offers social aspects to the online world that can be left at a professions level.
Ning allows for secure and non secure users. Uploading of videos, blogs, pictures events and email can all be accessed using Ning. Sound like Facebook? Sure does. Ning allows professionals to connect with thier colleuges just as teens would connect with thier friends. Though Ning is not strictly for professional use. Though to me, Ning is the grownup verion of the social networks that we would use as teens.
